Where do you keep your bed?

I must find a way to completely furnish my home with every single
piece in this video. So amazing right?

Terry.

I just wanted to do a very quick update about my mother-in-law
that I wish I would've done a couple of days ago but I didn't have a chance to.
On Wednesday, I was working at my desk and looked at my phone
and saw a text message from Paul telling me that his mom was
in the hospital because she was having intense chest pain and that he
was on his way to where she was. I let my work know and
I was able to leave early to go to the hospital.
At first, they were unsure what it was but after a few tests,
they concluded that she had had a mild heart attack. A mild heart attack?
That was a lot to process. I could see the weight of it on
Rob's (my father-in-law) and Paul's faces. It's been 4
days and Terry is doing well. She is being released to go home
today which we are so glad for. Paul and I didn't
return to work this week, we spent 3 days in the hospital
with Terry and Rob. It felt dark at times and it wiped us out but
we are so glad to know that Terry is okay
and her angiogram revealed that she is going to be fine
and that her quality of life will not be affected.
Thank you L-rd. We updated on Facebook a lot throughout
the past couple of days and asked for prayer
and those prayers were heard and definitely felt on our end.
I wanted to ask you to pray for Terry too, processing
and knowing that she had a heart attack is a hard thing to chew on,
but she is moving forward and so are the rest of us.
We've learned a lot and we are incredibly thankful to our L-rd for
hearing our cry and answering our prayers.

Praise be to G-d.
Shalom.

Sunday Nights

Well, I'm happy to report that I have made it through the first week of 2011
and it has been really great. We were very busy and had a lot going
on (as usual) but it was still nice and a perfect start
to this new year. Last Sunday was Paul's and my two year wedding
anniversary and we spent the day in two fun places. The day
started out in L.A. at Alcove for lunch and it was so
delicious. It was the best veggie burger I've ever had, really!
We went to a fun bookstore near the restaurant that we ate at and read
some really interesting books. On our way home, we stopped
in Pasadena to take a little peep at where we got married, had a
hot cup of coffee and did some shopping. It was
good to be in our city... or at least it feels like our city. :)
We got in early and I made vegetable risotto for din din, it was
quite good. What a day.

This weekend has gone by so fast. We have been pretty lazy today,
with the exception of going to the farmer's market this morning
and getting our grocery shopping done. It feels good to start the new
week out with a full refrigerator and full cupboards, so thankful
for that. Paul recently expressed that he wants to start
cooking with me every night. Can I tell you how nice that is?
I'm loving it and I can tell he is too.
Tonight we made paninis with my new panini maker that
my parents gave me for Christmas (such a good gift!).

Sorry for the terrible cell phone photo.. I'm workin' on getting a new camera!

Our paninis were paired with a brown rice and cannellini
bean salad with spinach, sun-dried tomatoes and pine nuts.
It was so good, not a bite left on the plate.
We're winding down with a movie and then it's time for bed
to get a good night's sleep for the new week.

And A Hello to 2011

Starting on the right foot here, I decided to write a little update for 1.1.11
{I think it is very exciting that today's date is all the same number!}.
I know everyone has said it today and so I am going to have to agree, I
cannot believe that 2011 is here! Can you? Last year flew by and
now, January is back.. so good to see you. Tomorrow is
our 2 year anniversary of wedded bliss, which is just mind blowing.
My dad was right, the older you get, time scoots quickly by.

Last year, I wrote a little post of goals for the new year and
I think I did pretty well to conquer over half of them.
I think I will update my list for this year, but not until later.
I need time to think about it.. also, I need to get
ready to go. My parents are taking Paul and I out to dinner
for our anniversary {yay!}. Talk to you soon. :)

I decided it might be nice to give my page a little design change in light
of the new year. Hope you like it too.

Farewell 2010

Last picture of 2010!

Well guys, I couldn't leave the year with my last post being about Halloween.
Just didn't feel right. This year's end has been so full of
new things, new blessings, new people and love. I'm not going to
apologize for my absence but only say that I hope to
do a little bit better this next year with updating more. I love
having a blog but it most definitely comes second
when life is a bit crazy. I'm so thankful for the all of the good,
the trials, and the learning that 2010 has brought our way. I look forward
to the new year and everything that will be coming up.

May the L-rd bless you and keep you.
May the L-rd make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you.
May the L-rd lift up His countenance upon you, and give you Shalom peace.

Happy New Year! 2011! :)

Last little family picture. :)

Happy Halloween?

I am probably going against the masses in saying this buuut....
I'm not much of a Halloween person. At all really.
I enjoy going to the parties and stuff to see everyone
else's costumes but as for me dressing up,
not so much into it. Same with all of the Halloween
home decor, not for me. I love fall so much
and pumpkins and weathered leaves.. mmmmmm baby. But
not the spooky stuff. Sorry if that makes you
sad. Hehe. :) In spite of all that, Paul and I went to a
party on Friday and dressed up as burglars (because
we didn't really have to buy anything new, just
wear all black) and had a really great time with some of my
closest friends. We wore black masks,
I carried my airsoft gun and
Paul had some of my pearls and gold neclases
hanging out of his pockets. :)

Anyway, I hope that you are all having a fun, safe
Halloween weekend.
